The Story of Silly Goose Studio
Welcome to Silly Goose Studio, where I specialize in custom, handmade art pieces crafted with love and secondhand materials. As all great ideas do, Silly Goose Studio officially began at the kitchen table when my partner came up with the name and set a very official washi tape label above the sewing room doorway. The name stuck and now I'm a small, local sewing/art business. My little home studio is a one-woman show operated by me! (an independent, energetic artist/seamstress who puts a creative sparkle into everything she does.)
About Me
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Michaela, I’m 26, and I’m a seamstress and artist located in Cache Valley, Utah.
As long as I can remember I’ve been fascinated by costume and clothing, and have loved playing dress up since I was a little kid. I was about 13/14 when I did my first sewing project, so I technically have a decade of experience. My mom taught me the basics forever ago and I've refined my sewing skills as an adult. Now that I’ve mastered using a needle and thread, along with a sewing machine, I love creating costumes, altering clothes, and transforming secondhand items into new treasures.
Similar to Barbie, I have a wide variety of skills and talents. A few other hobbies of mine include: dancing, tree/rock climbing, cake decorating, modeling exclusively for Annora Madden, and adventuring in the great outdoors!
